Spine Charts

Technical Info:

  • This spine chart relates to an arrow length that is at least 1″ longer than the draw length. This is to accommodate finger clearance from the point/broadhead Example: 28″ draw = 29″ arrow.
  • If, however, you prefer to use longer arrows, simply choose the required arrow length across the top of the chart.
  • If back tapering the shafts, go one spine group stiffer than recommended. If barrel tapering, stay with the recommended spine group.

Tuning Tips:

  • If your arrow wags left and right, that is a good indication of an improper spine-usually a weak spine.
  • For right-handed shooters: If your arrow flight is good, but the arrows impact to the left of the point of aim, then the spine is too stiff.
  • For Left-handed shooters: If your arrow flight is good, but arrows are impacting the right of the point of aim, then the spine is too stiff.
  • For Right-handed, Asiatic shooters: If your arrow flight is good, but arrows are impacting the right of the point of aim, then the spine is too stiff.

-“Broadhead Group Tuning” will give an accurate indication of the correct spine requirement for your bow.
